I dug deep into my memory for this one. Somewhere at some time I heard a story that stayed with me. Though the circumstances of the moment are long gone as are the details, and of course the title and author too, the idea of the tale lingered long with me like a friend. It’ve retold it many times in my teachings, doubtlessly changing key details, evolving and losing. Unable to find it, but unwilling to lose its powerful theme, I wrote another story for it – THE BOTTOM TREASURE.
It was a story of sacrifice and white lies, of masculine strength and family loyalty. My retelling of that sentiment is the Bottom Treasure. I’m very proud of this story and proud also to have been included in this anthology with such friends and mentors as the great Jonathan Maberry. Pick this one up. And enjoy THE BOTTOM TREASURE.
