My piece here is THE OLD PROBLEM, it is a tale of man, machine, and spirit. I wrote it originally to a prompt concerning artificial intelligence (AI) and was promptly overlooked for that opportunity. I suspect my story was too human, but who knows? It's published here as part of the League of Utah Writers best of Utah 2025 after it won a Silver Olive Woolley Burt Award in short science fiction. I think it’s a touching piece, thematic and important.
